I cannot say on bad thing about it. I tried it, it worked perfectly and ever since I have so much less worries about having my period. It's so easy and convenient, I don't feel it, I don't have to think about it all day and you can do everything while using it. I once went diving with sharks while having my period and I was perfectly fine. So this is bulletproof tested and I never wanna miss it.
I first used an Organicup years ago, it lasted ages (until I accidentally flushed it down the toilet!) I then bought a different cup from another brand and didn't get along with it at all. I bought a new Organicup and am very happy I did. It fits comfortably, has just the right amount of suction (so it doesn't get stuck!) and it doesn't smell (The other brand I had a horrible plastic smell!) I would highly recommend an Organicup to everyone!
We, woman, hate period. Nothing funny about bleeding, right? Menstrual cup makes it so much easier, though! I don't worry about forgetting tampon, caring tons of them in my purse or creating tons of trash. Menstrual cup is better than other period supplies in every way. Try to convince me it's not. I'd love to listen to your side, too 🙂
I can't believe I only switched to the cup now. The first two times you try to put it in and take it out are a bit of a struggle because it's bigger than a tampon and it stays in-in, but once you take a breath it is the best thing ever. I can go the whole day to work and the gym without having to worry about leaky tampons and their gross thread. It is very easy to know if you inserted it correctly because you can feel/hear the suction happening. Very comfortable to sleep with and easy to clean. Good for the environment, your vagina, your underwear and your bank account.
I’ve been using the organi cup for about 6 months now, and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made! Switching has meant I haven’t had to buy tampons or pads which = no Harmful waste for the environment and no damage to my bank account! The organi cup is durable and strong, I was nervous to try it in the beginning but once I found a technique for it’s use It became fast, easy and convenient. I work late hours with only one break, the organi cup allows me to work without the constant need to change it as it holds a lot of liquid, I brought it on holiday and it was perfect for swimming and sleeping with no risk of leakage. I could not recommend this enough, I’ve told multiple women about this and hope more people consider it, it is inexpensive and durable.
I’ve always had trouble with my period and never really got the hang of tampons but the organicup has made everything easier! No more giant pads everywhere and fear of leakage on a daily basis. Now any day that I’m menstruating feels just like any other! The organicup is convenient, packable, comfortable and sanitary while being the best option for our planet. I cannot stress this enouph, if you haven’t tried it yet, do. For your own good:))))
It's really changed my day to day life. No more frantic scrambling through my bag, or trying to decide if it's "bad enough" for a tampon. I always have one cup in my bathroom and one in my bag, and I'm always good to go. It also taught me a lot about unnecessary shame and embarrassment I didn't know I had, because my period was something I never talked about, but hid away like the tampon in the back pocket of my jeans. Now I boil my Organicup in the kitchen. I know more about my body, my health, the environment and am confident in making an active choice, instead of a passive default. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
(fyi, taking it out does take a little practice, beware of the suction the first time or two 😊 )
I started using OrganiCup around half a year ago and was a convert right from the first use! I leave it in during the whole working day and it has never leaked. It has always been fine at the gym, too. Once or twice I had to jiggle it around a little to get it to sit 100% comfortably, but I guess that's just part of getting used to it. I will never go back to using tampons! This is a revolutionary period product!
I started using organicup for saving money and for being more eco-friendly. In just 2 periods I was completely adapted and I feel safe, more comfortable and clean using it rather that pads or tampons. The first impression can be unsatisfying and I have to admit it even hurt a bit taking out the first time but rapidly I realized it's just a matter of time until you are used to it and know the best way it works for you, for sure! Usually I leave it in for 12hours, only pouring the cup in the morning during shower and late at night before going to bed, super convenient!! Sometimes I use a mini pad on the "heaviest flow" day because not every time it works perfect for 12 hours and it already happened to leak but who never has this episodes also with tampons or pads? Couldn't be happier with this choice!
Considering I'm 40 years old, and have been using pads all my life... (not even tampons, because they didn't feel comfy to me) I was not entirely sure about the change... And it blew my mind away!!!! At first, it took a couple of months, and it didn't feel completely good or safe; it sometimes felt uncomfortable when it wasn't well positioned. Now... It is wonderful. I sometimes even forget I'm wearing it. Not to mention you only need to change it a couple times a day... I decided to try it because of the impact pads have on the environment. And I feel super happy about it! Give it a try! 😉
I was so hesitant to finally give in. Once I ran out of tampons I made myself take the plunge and I have not gone back. There is for a sure a learning curve but power through eventually it will become a lot easier. It is so comforting knowing I am not putting toxins in my body!
Once I got the courage to order a cup I was super excited to try it out. It was a bit confusing at first, and awkward feeling, but now that I am used to it, I love it! I save so much money and have cut back on so much waste each month! I also love that I don't have to worry about leaking or changing my tampon or pad throughout the day and evening. I really hated wearing pads at night and this is the BEST solution.
I always wanted to try a greener alternative, but I was way to scared to try it. (Obvious thoughts: is it enough, will I feel it, does it hurt?) And honestly, I had success from the first time I tried it until now. I spotted once in the whole 5mo of trying it. I feel like my lady parts are much happier (less irritated) by using a greener solution. (I never tried the organic cotton tampons or the undies.. would like to give the undies a whirl though for the light days). But definitely happier since I tried it out!
I never thought I could love a period product so much.. It has made the monetary cost of having my period almost vanish (among other costs), it’s more convenient, I can sleep in it, I don’t have to tend to it as much as other methods of managing my period, it’s more sanitary, there’s no more “period smell,” it’s better for the environment, it’s not harmful to my body unlike other methods for managing, and best of all, it’s organic! I don’t entirely dread my period coming anymore because of the ease my cup brings and it only took me about 2-3 cycles to get completely used to it. The hardest part is getting comfortable with insertion, but I wouldn’t even say that was hard (with the tutorials I had access to) - it’s just a matter of testing to see which method of insertion is most comfortable for you.
The organicup is truly life changing for me, and I'm never going back to pads or tampons again! I do a lot of horseback riding and equestrian sports, so I was skeptical about how well this cup would hold up to lots of hip and leg movements. However, it holds up perfectly! I feel comfortable, confident and clean while riding, and I often will even forget about my period for a while! With pads and tampons, I would feel uncomfortably gross while riding and the fact that I was on my period was always in my mind, distracting me from more important things. I seriously love this product so much and I hope everyone will try it and love it as much as I do!
I’m so glad I started using the cup, less stress and worry when I’m on my period. I usually forget I even have it in! You feel cleaner on your period with it and you don’t have to ever worry about the horrific feeling of inserting/removing a dry tampon. Because it’s silicon you there’s no difference if you’re no longer at the heavy part of your cycle. Don’t have to carry around extra tampons or pads because you have it in you which is brilliant. Also it’s just so much better for the environment and that makes me happy.
A friend recommended OrganiCup to me while we were talking about less and zero waste. I was curious to try and though it takes some time to get used to it while first using it, I absolutely love it. For the first time in almost 7 years I kinda enjoy having my period because I don’t need to think about changing tampons or pads anymore which can be pretty annoying when you’re at friends or in school/uni. The cup just needs one quick clean in the morning and evening and you’re good to go. Since I’ve been using the cup I also get less cramps during my period. And of course an extra plus is the fact that you can use the cup for a very very long time without creating nearly any waste and saving lots of money. I just love it!
If you’re worried you might not feel comfortable using a cup, just give it a try. You may need some time to get used to it but it’s absolutely worth it!
I've read reviews saying that if you're a virgin you shouldn't use it because it hurts or damages. Lie.
I'm a virgin, and the cup hasn't done any damage to me at all. The material is very soft and it doesn't feel like ripping off anything inside you... Nah-ah.
Don't believe people telling you that you shouldn't use it because you are a virgin, after all they said the same for tampons and still it's not true. Just keep in mind that every body is different and might react differently to the cup, some may get used faster than others. But claiming it is not safe for virginity? That's a total LIE. Girls, give it a shot, it's totally worth it. I can't see myself living without it anymore, I take it with me to all my trips and never had a single complaint~
I decided to give using a cup a go purely for environmental reasons but I was blown away by how much instantly loved using it. I can not express how much this has changed my life, I used to hate having my period, I didn't want to leave the house and I felt gross and would always leak using tampons and found pads so uncomfortable. The organicup has been so easy to use and has not leaked once. I barely even notice that I have my period anymore, it's amazing! I'm so excited that I have been getting all my friends onto it and just wish I tried it sooner! Would seriously recommend to all girls out there.
The menstrual cup is the best thing you can do to yourself and to the world. After you've become familiar with it, it's very easy to use too! I was initially considering to give up, thinking that my body was not made for the cup, but in 3-4 cycles I've finally found the perfect way to insert it and since then my life has improved so much! You won't be spending money anymore as well as won't produce anymore waste. It allows you to do anything you want, and you will forget about having your period!
Using Organicup isn't just more convinient and comfortable, it also has changed the way I percieve and understand my cycles, it connects you with whats going on with your body and how your pelvic muscles work. It really is so comfy that sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. At first it seemed intimidating, specially when I had to take it out, but I've use it for 7 months already and it became easier with practice. I actually have encouraged most of my friends to use it because it's been so great for me.
I LOVE my cup! I can go through super+ tampons like there is no tomorrow, and I used to have cramps that would hinder my day to day life. After using my cup for a complete cycle I fell in love. My cramps were minimal or diminished completely, I didn't have a leak for the first time in 8 years, and I'm not buying a new box of tampons each month. Once the cup is in I don't feel it and am worry free. I'm done with tampons for good.
I love using the cup instead of pads and tampons that often gave me a lot of pain or discomfort. It took some time for me to find a good way to insert the cup, but I wouldn’t go back to pads/tampons ever again!
I was a little surprised that I needed the mini cup, due to the fact I have been sexual active for years, but it fits perfectly and I’m so thankful that it’s possible to buy more than just the original sizes (A & B).
And I also always felt a big discomfort in going to the beach or be in swimwear before but now I will feel completely safe with the cup.
I hated the Diva Cup but I love the environment and couldnt stand using 1 time use products. This cup is softer silicone than the Diva, more comfortable, and I have no leaks anymore. I'm so glad I switched over before giving up on cups. If you're on the fence just go for it!
I was so excited to buy this. It is waste free and is so good for your body. I got my iud before the organicup and after i got it i waited like 7 weeks to use it. I did try it before that but just to practice insertion and techniques. I found out in a few times which fold worked best for me and how to insert it. Now im using it for my first period. I was nervous but so excited and it went in first try! Also had to get used to the feeling. I slept with it and got it out so easily after watching a few videos with tips and tricks. I love this so much and never will go without it again. I dont feel it anymore and its super easy. Yes you can use it when youre a virgin. Dont worry💖
I use hormonal contraceptives, which can sometimes make my periods long and heavy. Usually, I can put this in in the morning, go to work, exercise and have no leaks throughout a 12-hour span. In this time I rarely have to empty the cup out and I also use it to sleep in overnight. This cup is also soft and easy to insert once you get the hang of it. The rim is less prominent than my previous menstrual cup, making it so much more comfortable to insert. I love that I can fit the cup and forget about it for far longer than with tampons due to leakage and TSS.
OrganiCup was such a game changer. Besides the cost savings and knowing I’m producing much less waste, the cup is just incredibly comfortable. So comfortable I often forget I’m on period. Sporting is so much more comfortable and I always feel secure (yes, also when wearing white pants!).
I would recommend anybody to try and not to give up if the first attempts are a bit of a failure. It may take some time to get used to it but it is SO worth it!
If you're on the fence about buying a menstrual cup, JUST DO IT! There was a definitely a learning curve to figure out how to insert it correctly, but it was completely worth it. Don't worry if you can't figure out how to insert it right away--with time and research (I looked at video tutorials on several menstrual cup websites) you'll figure it out. Once I figured out the right fold and the right angle, the cup was a dream come true. Some of my favorite things are 1) there's NO smell 2) there are no leaks 3) you can really wear it for 12 hours so you only have to put it in when you wake up and around dinner time 4) it's planet friendly:) 5) I won't have to worry about buying another one for several years 6) it's cost effective 7) I can't even feel that I'm wearing it.
After using pads and tampons my whole life, I will never switch to anything other than the cup. Initially I was attracted to the cup because I could save money but now the cup has been a game changer on how I handle my period. I don’t have to change it half as often as a pad or tampon, which makes it so much more sanitary. I also get less period cramps when I am wearing the cup, I do believe it sits a certain way to relieve the cramps I usually get. My favorite benefit to the camps is still the amazing amount of money I have saved from not using so many pads and tampons... crazy.
I grew up in a household where tampons were for “married woman,” so my only options were pads. But since i have such sensitive skin, I would sometimes workout and get a rash bc of the friction with the plastic! After growing up and wanting to find more comfortable options for me as well as more environmentally friendly ones, I ponder upon the idea of using a cup (even though none of my friends use one).
I did my research and decided on this brand for a couple of reasons:
1) they use the extra money of the cup (compared to other cheaper brands) to being initiatives to several countries in Africa, for the knowledge and availability of menstrual products is virtually none. Hey, If i cannot go there, might as well contribute with the people that do so!
2) it’s silicone rather than plastic. Silicone is made from basically melted sand, while plastic is petroleum. I don’t want petroleum touching my body. PLUS it has no colours so no weird stuff in there on that sense either
3) the packaging is ecofriendly And amazingly well designed!
4) Customer service is just remarkable
I hope this helps someone out there trying to decide! It took me years to even do the research and really think about it. But ladies think no further. This is where is at! Promise
I only started using the cup after years of excruciatingly painful and heavy periods. Someone suggested that tampons do not help, and whilst sceptical I gave the cup a try as I had nothing to lose by trying it.
I was a convert after the first time! I don’t know why or how, but the pain and nausea I used to suffer with completely went. Still heavy, but can change the cup every 4-5 hours or so instead of 2.
It is a little fiddly to get to grips with (you have to get very up close and personal with your lady bits!), so I’d suggest practicing before you come on as it took a few tries to work out which ‘fold’ works. I’d also use a liner as well as the cup in case of any accidents.
Whilst successfully used for the first couple of periods, I had the technique perfected by about the third one and there’s absolutely no way I’ll ever return to tampons. Besides the personal benefits, the environmental and ecological positives are also definitely a factor in my choice of product. I can’t express in words what a total life changer this has been, gutted I didn’t discover years ago!
I really feel comfortable using this cup. It was the first time I use one, and I was thinking about buying one for so many months, but finally, I did. Now, I regret me for not buying it before. Try it, it is very easy to clean, very easy to clean and you are also saving money. First times you have to try to be comfortable but after several times it is like another part of your body.
If you have never used tampons or/and you are a virgin you shouldn't be afraid of the cup at all. It is the easiest, most convenient way to live your life during your period. It took me a couple periods to get used to it, I'm si happy that I don't have to run to the bathroom in my heaviest flow days, I am very active and I can go all day without having to remove it. You really feel cleaner inside and with the environment. Totally worth it!!!
It's incredibly comfortable, to the point I forget I wear it at times. It doesn't leak, which means I can move around and wear whatever I want without worrying. It saved me from skin irritations due to the pads and I love that I save money and also help the planet! Definitely recommend it to anyone.
Using a menstrual cup has totally changed how I feel about getting my period. I've only been using it for two months, so when I think of period, my mind automatically starts dreading tampons&pads and feeling dirty and uncomfortable all the time. When I remember I have my cup I instantly feel better! I can wear it and completely forget about my period in any daily activity. I'm a student and I travel to university by train every day, being far from home from morning until evening. It's extremely comfortable to know I can feel clean and safe for so many hours without worrying about getting changed. I definitely recommend OrganiCup under every point of view.
I’ve been a cup user for several years. Started out with the Diva cup and it wasn’t horrible. Tried a couple other brands and they just didn’t quite fit right so I always went back to the Diva cup. I decided it was time to look for a new cup, Diva was getting old. I took the PACII quiz and OrganiCup was one that was recommended. After doing some research I decided to go for it. They were offering a buy one, get one at the time. Really, you can’t beat that. I’ve been using the OrganiCup for three cycles now and I am in love!!! I’ve not had a single leak since using this cup and I’ve not had any discomfort or have had to reposition it or reinsert because it felt like it was coming out or hanging too low. It’s been amazing!
OrganiCup works amazingly for me. I'm a virgin but have had no problems with the cup whatsoever. I never feel the cup when I use it, and as I don't experience much pain I frequently forget I'm even on my period. I can't recommend the cup enough to anyone considering switching to an inexpensive (seen in the long run), very sustainable and healthy alternative. I will never go back to pads or tampons. Saving so much money gives me the ability to spend on other stuff, it's awesome!
After considering buying a menstrual cup for over 6 months I decided to buy the OrganiCup and also the LilyCup one (as it is geared towards first time users). Straight away I preferred the OrganiCup. I love that you can cut the stem to suit you and it is flexible enough to move with your body. I work out often and was concerned I would be able to feel it. However, once it’s in place I don’t think about it for 8 hours. It doesn’t leave that awful period smell and feels so much cleaner than other types of menstruation products. I also used to feel sore and dry after using tampons for my period which would last a couple days (TMI) but the silicone means it doesn’t mess with your pH or moisture levels. I highly recommend this cup to anyone thinking about it. And, it also has the great environment and money saving benefits!
I wanted an organicup for the environmental benefits and the cost. I was a little scared when I bought it, but it took me no time to love everything about it. It is zero waste, cheap and easy to use. I have had no problems with it and recommend it to everyone I know. Five of my friends have now converted since I started using one and they love it too. I look forward to my period now.
I’ve been interested in trying a cup for decades, yes decades...but I wasn’t sure, I didn’t want to spend the money if it might not be for me, if it might be messy, uncomfortable, fiddly, leaky... so I kept using tampons, which were sometimes messy, uncomfortable, fiddly, leaky, and full of toxins and bad for the environment... Anyway thanks to OrganiCups 2 for 1 offer and promise of money back if it doesn’t work (I’m no risk taker with my pennies) I finally ordered myself a cup, or two. I read lots of blog posts and prepared for the worst, I read all the instructions, I practised on a dry run, then I waited to try my cup. After that it was pretty non eventful. It just worked. It was easy, both to get in and out, it wasn’t messy, nothing spilt out like in some of the horror stories I’d read! It hasn’t leaked, it hasn’t got stuck. I guess the things that took the most getting used to was feeling the stem of it when you’re moving around but I’ve still not trimmed this which I know your can do for comfort. And seeing the blood...yes I know it’s not a lot, but it looks it compared to a tampon which absorbs it all, but it’s good to be more in tune with your body and a small price to pay for a healthier body and less impact to the environment.
It’s so much smaller than I thought! I was like this little thing is never gonna hold it all. But it definitely does its job. Before buying I was worried about its size but after experimenting with different folding methods (I like the E fold) it was a breeze to insert and suuuuuper comfortable. I literally forget I’m on my period. A plus is that I have super sensitive skin and with it’s hypoallergenic build, I no longer have to worry about irritation from pads and tampons. Organicup is definitely a blessing to the menstrual world.
As a complete first timer to having anything go near my girly parts, putting it in was a real struggle. It took me many tries over multiple days but I was determined to make it work. I went for the Mini size despite not being a teen but I'm so glad I did! I don't even overflow despite it's small volume. I highly suggest anyone thats worried about the size to give the Mini a shot, regardless of your age. Thankfully for OrganiCup's amazing exchange and return policy, I wasn't too worried about the size being to small but I'm so happy it all worked out. 110% recommend to anyone looking to reduce your waste/lead a more environmentally friendly lifestyle AND wanting to not even feel like you're on your period when you actually are. Love love love my cup!
I truly am SO glad I switched to a menstrual cup. I originally did it for the lower environmental impact, and it does save so many disposable period products. But it has also saved me so much money, and the 12 hour wear time is awesome! For me, it was a very easy transition- all I can say is take the time to make sure it is fitting properly and comfortable, and watch the videos on the website for how best to insert!
I know I was extremely lucky when I got the hang of the cup for the first time I used it. But even if I would have been struggling more, I’d absolutely recommend it to any one of my friends (which I’ve been doing). The cup is the best thing that’s ever happened to my period! Now I feel fresh, free and confident even though I often have a heavy bleed. Don’t miss out on this, girl! It may change your life for the better. And don’t give up if you’re struggling! You’ll get the hang of it!
Just give this a try! I read through all the reviews and they seemed really positive and so I just gave it a shot. A year later I am still loving it. The cup makes menstruating so much more ritualistic and keeps me more in sync with my flow. It’s really cool. So much better than synthetic fibers going into your body! I have nothing but absolute love for Organicup, and I brag about you guys to all my friends, and try to get them to use a menstrual cup as well!! Was the best purchase of my life!!
Wasn’t sure it would work, but was convinced the first time I tried it. Takes literally a few minutes to get used to- you don’t feel it anymore after you insert the cup. Inserting and removing the cup first time is *the* only difficult part(you have to get used to the inserting and figure out a way around the vacuum while removing- no pain at all, just mild discomfort the first time). And its so great for the environment! And the customer service is sooo nice!! Was really pleasantly surprised in all. Definitely recommend it 🙂
I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE COMFORTABLE DURING MY PERIODS
I cannot recommend this product enough. I can honestly say I have never felt more comfortable, relaxed, and confident in period care. I cannot feel the cup, it doesn't spill no matter the activity, and I feel so much better never needing to use the bin - no waste whatsoever!
Yes, you do need to insert it inside yourself, and yes, you will see your period blood when you empty it. If those things make you queasy - it's probably about time you started to get comfortable with your body and its' functions. Win-win!
Try it, and your life will be changed.
It took maybe two or three periods to get used to it and to understand how I should position the cup. But after that I practically forgot about all the hassle that tampons and/or pads bring - the cup doesn't leak, I can't feel it inside even if I have been wearing it for the whole day, I can do whatever - work, go on dates, do yoga, and it doesn't cause any discomfort. Also it saves my money. It's the best menstrual product I've tried.
I read a lot of reviews before going ahead with buying a cup, but I'm so glad that I bought it. It has changed how I view my periods completely - I don't dread them as much and it makes each week of the month much less impactful on my normal day to day life. It takes a bit to get used to, and it can be a bit fiddly, but the benefits outweigh the negatives twice over. Even if you're unsure, try it, because if it works for you then I don't think you'll ever go back to tampons or pads.
I doubted for months if I should try it. Then a friend tried the cup herself and I finally joined the club. Now I feel I wish I'd done it years ago! Honestly, there's no pain or discomfort when using it. I felt a lot more discomfort with tampons and had actually stopped using any. Plus all the nasties you're putting right into your flesh! Now, I get to fly through my periods as if they weren't even there. And I love the huge amount of non-recyclable plastic I'm no longer throwing into the environment. The cup it's just better for your body and the world, and in a weird way, it makes you connect with your body a lot more. We're always taught that our period is disgusting. Now, I'm free from those thoughts. I truly feel that I'm more aware and connected with my body, and not harming it every month with chemicals! If in doubt, TRY IT and give it a couple of periods. You won't go back. If it hurts, reapply and watch the videos and talk to friends. It's until you 'get it', then it becomes second nature!
