OrganiCup is AllergyCertified

What is Allergy Certified?

AllergyCertified is an international certification organization founded in Denmark in 2015.

When you choose products that carry the AllergyCertified label, you can rest assured that their team of toxicologists have gone through every single ingredient in the product, made a risk assessment and concluded that the product lives up to their strict quality requirements.

Allergy Cetified Menstrual Cup

Why is it important to choose allergy friendly period products?

The largest organ in the human body is the skin. Our skin is our first line of defense, it helps us fight illness and disease so it’s important to care for it and consider the products you use to prevent skin irritations.

No more allergens. Period.

On average, we menstruate for 40 years, 12 times a year and we use 22 period products per period. That equals many hours of repeated skin contact with a product, and as you might know the risk of developing a skin allergy is affected by just that.

In fact, period products are in contact with one of the most sensitive areas of the body, an area that is prone to infections and is easily irritated.

Vaginal tissue isn’t like the rest of our skin, it’s highly permeable and it’s a direct route to the reproductive organs[1].

However, many period products still contain fragrances, colorants, dyes and preservatives, which are absorbed into the bloodstream and transported to your organs[2].

Therefore, we should carefully consider which products we use in and around the vaginal area.

Be kind to your skin.

We do not think period products should contain harmful chemicals that can disrupt your hormonal balance or cause allergic reactions.

You can minimize the risk of developing skin allergy by choosing products with a third party allergy certification. In other words be kind to your skin

The OrganiCup is the only menstrual cup that is AllergyCertified. It’s made from 100% medical grade silicone, a material that is bio-compatible and doesn’t contain any harmful substances.

All OrganiCup products carry the AllergyCertified label, which means the organization has gone through each product’s ingredients and verified that there is a minimal risk of developing allergies or irritations due to usage.
